Achei bem interessante. Tirei do Dpreview:
"I think it is also very likely that the Z9 sensor will be designed by Nikon and fabbed by Tower. Nikon has generally felt the need to keep available an in-house sensor operation, independent of Sony. It had announced its intention of moving entirely to in-house sensors a long time ago, but that never happened. The fabs that Nikon used have since been taken over by Sony, so don't any longer satisfy the 'independent of Sony' criterion. It's been telegraphed that they are working with Tower, but most likely not at the Israel plant, which your press release refers, but at TPSCo (Tower Partners Semiconductor Company) in Uozo, Japan (
https://tpsemico.com/). TPSCo is what was originally Panasonic's sensor operation (TPSCo originally stood for Tower Panasonic Semiconductor Company, its shareholders are Tower and Nuvoton, which is Panasonic's electronic components distribution company, spun out and renamed). There are several reasons to believe this.
1. Ouzo is in Japan. Japanese sourcing is of importance to Nikon.
2. That is the only line where Tower has BSI and stacked technologies available. It is also the only 65nm line with 12" wafers, which will likely be necessary for any new sensor as well.
3. It would appear to be the only Japanese fab line that could meet Nikon's needs and isn't owned by Sony."
