Bem, acabei de receber a resposta da Canon:
"Dear Antonio:
Thank you for contacting Canon USA product support, and for your inquiry
about the shots remaining counter. We value you as a Canon customer and
appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
The shots remaining counter is an estimate based in an average size. There is no published information regarding the algorithm used to determine the shots
remaining, so everything in the discussion is a guess.
I apologize that I cannot provide you with a solid answer to your
question. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
Thank you for choosing Canon.
Sincerely,
Erik
Technical Support Representative"

To Canon USA Technical Dept.
I have a very inusitated question that came from a discussion forum, and if possible, I would like to know a very specific fact. This discussion is becoming hot and then I tought that the better way to solve this would be to ask the father =)
The question is about how the "remaining shots" number is calculated. If it uses a single fixed estimated file size for each resolution/iso/quality or if actually some dynamic calculation is adopted.
I know that this question is a bit weird and maybe nonsense, but I'll appreciate if Canon helps me with this subject.
Regards,
Antonio"
