Competition Details
Water is the lifeblood of the planet, and the state of this resource affects all natural, social and economic systems. Water serves as the fundamental link between the climate system, human society and the environment. Climate change is severely impacting the hydrological cycle and consequently, water management. This will in turn have significant effects on human development and security.
Water is the primary medium through which climate change influences Earth’s ecosystem and thus the livelihood and well-being of societies. Higher temperatures and changes in extreme weather conditions are projected to affect availability and distribution of rainfall, snowmelt, river flows and groundwater, and further deteriorate water quality.
The Pivotal Role of Water in Climate Change- Advertisement Competition called on professionals and non-professionals to demonstrate all aspects of water resources as the fundamental and a crucial link between the climate system, human society and the environment, and the vital role of water in everyday life.
Ads should contain problems and consequences that climate change affects the water or could show what people can do in their daily lives to generate innovative thinking regarding actions required to accelerate measures for fighting climate change consequences, to what we can do as communities, countries, and as global citizens.
Water is a human right, and this competition is about inspiring people across the world to record all aspects that inspires others to preserve water.
 Submission deadline
 The competition is open to professionals and non-professionals of all countries aged 15 years and over, and entrants can submit up to five entries for the competition.
The contest opens for entries on 20 December 2012 and ends at midnight (GET) 28 February 2013. Late entries will not be accepted.
Entries must be submitted with Fee Payment Receipt/Slip by email to crrdsc@yahoo.com  using the subject line:  Advertisement Competition.
The Award
The award-winning advertisement will be evaluated by a panel of professional judges.
The winners will be awarded with prizes: 1-st place- 3000 US$; 2nd- 2500 US$; 3rd- 2000 US$.
There will be additional prizes for the highly commended entries.
