Sigma already has a steady collection of ‘Art’ lenses on the market, but it looks like they have a few more up their sleeves for 2016.According to newly leaked photos and information, Sigma is set to release a 50–100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens on February 23rd, 2016.As can be seen in the above image, the lens follows the same design scheme as Sigma’s other Global Vision glass, with a silky black frame and white markings. The 50–100mm f/1.8 DC HSM Art lens is designed for APS-C sensors, which roughly puts it in the 35mm equivalent range of 75–100mm, give or take a few millimeters pending what camera you mount it to. It’ll be released for Canon EF, Nikon F and Sigma SA mounts. The lens includes 21 elements in 15 groups, a 9-blade aperture diaphragm, an updated HSM autofocus motor, will weigh 1490g (~3.28 pounds) and features a minimum focusing distance of .095 meters (roughly 3.1 feet). The lens is set to ship in later April 2016 for a price tag of around $1,500.
Nossa!
